JOB TITLE                 Inside Sales Estimator

TERMS                      Full Time

SALARY/RATE          $28-$32/hour

WORK HOURS         Monday – Thursday 7:00am-4:30pm

Friday 7:00am-11:00am

At HSI Manufacturing an Inside Sales Estimator is a role that combines both sales and estimation duties. This position requires detailed pricing based on specific customer needs in manufacturing. Our Inside Sales Estimator is accountable for the following: 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

Sales Generation

  • Lead generation: The sales estimator will reach potential and current customers through calls, emails, or online platforms to generate interest in HSI’s capabilities and services. 
  • Customer engagement: The sales estimator role will engage with potential and existing customers to understand their needs and provide solution-driven support. The willingness to provide consistent customer contact to support current business and develop new business is essential. 

Estimating Costs

  • Cost estimation: Based on the customer’s requirements, the sales estimator calculates the costs of providing the product. This includes materials, labor, and other factors that might impact the final price. 
  • Quotes: Sales estimator will prepare and present accurate quotes to customers, outlining pricing, delivery times, and other relevant details promptly meeting or exceeding customer deadlines. 

Product Knowledge

  • Technical expertise: This position requires an understanding of the manufacturing process and the ability to blueprints so that an accurate cost breakdown can be determined and any technical questions may be answered. 

Collaborating with Sales and Operations

  • Coordination with other departments: Work closely as part of a sales team to ensure that estimates are aligned with client needs and sales goals. Collaborate with the operations and production teams to verify availability, production times, and other details. 

Account Management

  • Answering customer questions: Whether through email or phone, the sales estimator addresses inquiries about services, pricing, or timelines. 
  • Customer Relationships: Establish regular cadence and communication with customers on reorders, repricing, and new projects. 

Closing Sales and Pushing New Opportunities

  • Sales follow-up: After providing the estimate, they work with customers to address any concerns, negotiate terms, and close the sale. 

Why the Role Is Important: 

This role is key to ensuring that the company provides accurate pricing while also meeting the customer’s needs. The role blends technical knowledge with salesmanship, as they must not only calculate the best prices but also sell the value of what’s being offered. 

A successful inside sales estimator requires a combination of strong communication skills, attention to detail, and technical expertise in metal goods manufacturing. Previous CRM, sales, and B2B selling preferred. BA /trade school and 2 to 5 years of experience preferred.

JOB TITLE: Tool & Die Maker
TERMS: Full Time

ABOUT THE ROLE
A tool and die maker plays a critical role in metal stamping by designing, creating, maintaining, and repairing the specialized tools and dies used to shape, cut, and form metal parts.  Their work ensures that the metal stamping process produces high-quality, precise, and repeatable parts for automotive, aerospace, and manufacturing industries.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

– A tool and die maker at HSI creates custom tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures needed for metal stamping and manufacturing.
– They work with engineers to translate design blueprints into functional tools and dies that meet exact specifications.
– Die makers assemble and fit the dies, ensuring that all components align correctly to produce the intended metal parts during stamping.
– Dies can be single-stroke or progressive (where multiple operations happen in one stroke) and are made to withstand high-pressure stamping conditions.
– Regularly inspect and maintain tools and dies to ensure that they remain sharp, functional, and safe to use.
– If a die becomes worn or damaged, they perform repairs, which may include regrinding, reshaping, or replacing worn components.

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

– The Tool & Die Maker uses precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to check dimensions and ensure tolerances are met. 
– Help troubleshoot stamping issues like misalignment or part defects, adjusting dies as needed to maintain product quality.
– Have in-depth knowledge of various metals used in stamping (such as steel, aluminum, and copper alloys) and their properties. 
– Completion of a Tool & Die program from an accredited technical college or related experience. 
– EDM, Solidworks and CNC experience. 
– Ability to communicate effectively and meet deadlines.

JOB TITLE: Packaging/Shipping
TERMS: Full Time
SALARY/RATE:  $21-$24/hour
WORK HOURS:
Monday-Thursday 6:00am – 4:30pm
Friday 6:00am – 11:00am, as needed for overtime

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Packaging/Shipping position is a fast-paced role that is different day to day. The ideal candidate is a detail oriented, well organized, self-starter that can work with minimal supervision.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

– Count and package finished parts to prepare them for delivery or shipping according to the work instructions and shipping schedule.
– Enter finished parts into the business system.
– Create pack lists, and obtain customer documents according to work instructions.
– Maintain accurate inventory of all parts in the department.
– Monitor shipping supplies and request replenishment before stock outs.
– Perform daily forklift inspection and report maintenance issues promptly.
– Receive incoming material by unloading vehicles and/or accepting deliveries.
– Verify incoming items against purchase orders, enter into the business system and store accordingly.
– Prepare fabricated parts from production for transportation to outside suppliers for secondary operations.
– Maintain the department in a clean organized manner.
– Forklift Certified or ability to become certified with training provided.

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

– Must be 18 years or age or older.
– Must be comfortable working on a computer, sending emails, reading and writing English.
– May require excessive standing an the ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
– Attention to detail and a sense of urgency is required for this position.
– Ability to obtain DOT physical is desirable, but not required.

JOB TITLE: Production Operator

ABOUT THE ROLE
The production Operator should have knowledge of metal stamping and/or experience in a manufacturing environment. They should exhibit a strong attention to detail and must be a good communicator within all levels of the organization.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

– Operate production equipment of various sizes and functions, such as punch presses (18T to 225T), tappers, countersinkers, sanders, grinders, brake presses, chuckers, spot welding, etc.
– Produce parts to meet production standards (number and quality of pieces).
– Very strong eye-hand coordination required.
– Ability to work independently.
– Attention to detail.
– Ability to read blueprints a plus.
– Keep a clean area and adhere to all safety policies.
– Good communication skills.
– Ability to operate a forklift.

 

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

– Some manufacturing experience preferred, but not required.
– Ability to complete jobs on time and meet deadlines.
– Be willing to work and have a desire to learn.
– Frequently required to sit, talk, hear, and use hands or fingers to handle, feel, reach.
– Frequent standing and walking.
– Ability to sit/stand for extended periods per day and lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
– Must be able to pass a drug screening.
