Qualifications
Must Have:
• Experience in the manufacturing and/or metal fabrication industries.
• Must be comfortable working in an onsite setting.

Ideal Qualifications:
• Understanding of the manufacturing process and ability to read blueprints
• Experience in cost estimation including materials, labor, and other factors
• Ability to prepare and present accurate quotes to customers
• Experience with CRM, sales, and B2B selling
• Minimum 2 years of estimating experience.
• Minimum 2 years of sales or account management experience.

About the Role:
A Material Handler is responsible for moving, storing, and organizing materials throughout the production process. They ensure that materials are available where needed and maintain an efficient workflow. As a Shear Operator, this role focuses on the precise cutting of metal sheets into specific sizes. They ensure the quality and readiness of these materials for further processing, and their role involves machine operation, quality control, and maintenance.
Responsibilities:
• Receive raw materials, including metal sheets, coils, and other supplies, from vendors or the shipping area.
• Keep track of material inventory levels, ensuring that stock is replenished when necessary.
• Ensure that all materials are stored in a safe manner to prevent accidents.
• Responsible for operating mechanical or hydraulic shears that cut metal sheets or strips to specific dimensions.
• The operator adjusts settings on the shearing machine, such as blade gaps, pressure, and speed, to match the material type and thickness.
• They support workflow by making sure that the materials are available for operators, at the right time and location, helping prevent production delays.
• Maintain a clean and organized department.
Candidate Requirements:
• Experience using tools such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes. Moving materials to the relevant production areas, ensuring that workstations and machines have the materials they need.
• Precision is critical, as is familiarity with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and rulers to ensure the acuts are accurate and meet the required tolerances.
• Have a strong work ethic and dependability.
• Have a mechanical aptitude, and ability to independently prioritize duties for effective time management and work flow.
• Must be able to pass a drug screening.

Responsibilities:
• Operate production equipment of various sizes and functions, such as punch presses (18T to 225T), tappers, countersinkers, sanders, grinders, brake presses, chuckers, spot welding, etc.
• Produce parts to meet production standards (number and quality of pieces).
• Very strong eye-hand coordination required.
• Ability to work independently.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to read blueprints is a plus.
• Keep a clean area and adhere to all safety policies.
• Good communications skills.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
Candidate Requirements:
• Some manufacturing experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to complete jobs on time and meet deadlines.
• Be willing to work and have a desire to learn.
• Frequently required to sit, talk, hear, and use hands or fingers to handle, feel, reach.
• Frequent standing and walking.
• Ability to sit/stand for extended periods per day and lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
• Must be able to pass a drug screening.
